TEA Hospitality & Tourism Listening Tour
TEA Listening Tour
The Texas Education Agency (TEA) is excited to announce the launch of a statewide listening tour to receive feedback from educators, key industry leaders, and parents to help shape future career and technical education programs geared towards high-wage, in-demand occupations. Your input is essential to strengthening the state’s programs of study and to ensure alignment between education and the diverse needs of industry in the Texas Economy.
TEA has developed 53 statewide programs of study and six regional programs of study. There are three programs of study in the Hospitality and Tourism career cluster; they are Lodging and Resort Management, Travel, Tourism & Attractions, and Culinary Arts. The listening tour provides industry representatives an opportunity to represent the hospitality industry and provide input to ensure that high school students are informed and prepared for the exciting occupations in the Hospitality and Tourism Industry.
