Texas Hotel & Lodging Association is pleased to announce the creation of a new scholarship in honor of Durwood Gould, an outstanding hotelier we lost too soon.
Durwood worked in the hospitality industry since the early 1980s for entities including IHG/HMG and Pacifica Host, Heartland Hotel Management and National Key, and the Del Lago Resort.
In his career, Durwood exemplified everything that we look for and strive to accomplish in our industry.
This scholarship will be awarded in Durwood’s name and honor to one of the top three students at the THLA Annual Short Course.
This student shall be selected based on their leadership, mentorship, kindness, and teamwork.
These qualities have been consistently identified with Durwood Gould and his impact on the hospitality industry in Texas and beyond.
