HOUSTON, TX – August 24, 2020 – Hilton Americas-Houston has been named a 2020 honoree for Houston Business Journal’s Business Impact Award. This specific award is bestowed on businesses that have taken extraordinary measures to assist their community during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Hilton Americas-Houston took advantage of its large size and convenient location to help the brave, frontline medical professionals leading the fight against COVID-19 with comfortable and clean accommodations. Hilton, in partnership with American Express, donated up to one million hotel room nights across the United States to frontline medical professionals, free of charge to doctors, nurses, EMTs, paramedics and other medical staff who needed a place to sleep, recharge or isolate from their families. Hilton Americas-Houston provided 2,219 total rooms nights and went above and beyond by adding a small welcome treat and complimentary parking.
Additionally, Hilton Americas-Houston has hosted the Texas Army National Guard since April 18th as they have been providing much needed assistance to the Houston Food Bank and well as supporting COVID-19 test sites around the Houston area. During their stay, the hotel has provided the soldiers continental breakfast each morning, laundered their uniforms every day and parking, all provided on a complimentary basis.
