College Station – Learn Why You’ll Love it Here

Something to Shout About

Kyle Field at Texas A&M University

In the late 1800s, there wasn’t much between the Texas cities of Austin, Houston, and Dallas. But the state needed a new university, the railroad needed a stop there, and Texans needed something new to shout about. And boy oh boy did they yell.

That’s how that little college station along the railway eventually became College Station the town, and as Texas A&M grew, College Station grew right along with it.

While virtually everything else about College Station has changed over the years, turning the town into a thriving city and expanding its offerings well beyond the university itself, this unique pocket of personality is notable for its blend of vibrant community spirit, rich traditions, and warm Texas hospitality.

Although football season is the most popular time to visit, College Station is a year-round destination with tons to do for all travelers.
