Educational Training Opportunities
THLA’s educational offerings for Lodging members are held throughout the year.
Access to tools and training for you and your staff through THLA events and members only resources.
Short Course– Recognized as the “Best Educational Program” in the nation by the International Society of Hotel Association Executives, THLA’s Short Course attracts mid-level and aspiring hospitality professionals from all facets of hotel operations, from trainees to supervisors to department heads to general managers.
High School Hotel Summer Camp– a 3-day Summer Internship for high school students to learn about Lodging and Resort Management career paths.
Human Trafficking Training– All properties with 10 or more rooms are now required by state law to have all employees trained on recognizing the signs of human trafficking within 90 days of employment.
Education Partnership Resources– An online library of resources designed to assist educators and hoteliers on the many opportunities available in the hospitality industry. Resources range from elementary student engagement tools to hotel mentor internships and lesson plans for teachers.
Local Seminars for CVB’s, Cities, Counties and DMO’s.
We travel across the Lone Star State to provide over 100 seminars every year and offer training, advice, and education about local, state, and national issues facing our industry.
