The latest statistics on the Dallas Tourism Public Improvement District show a current ROI of $26 in room nights for every dollar the District is spending in DTPID funds for incentives to attract conventions and other large events to the City of Dallas.
Dallas was the first such district to be formed in Texas and was recently renewed for a new 13-year term by the area hoteliers and the Dallas City Council.
The City of Arlington recently followed Dallas’ lead and formed its own tourism public improvement district and there are pending proposals for Districts now in Fort Worth, Austin, and on down the road in San Antonio.
