Include These Invaluable Educational Opportunities in Your 2017 Budget

Texas Hotel & Lodging Association's 72nd Annual Short Course is  scheduled for January 9 through 13, 2017 at the Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management on the campus of the University of Houston. This is a one of a kind, all-in-one hospitality training event that has been awarded 'Best Educational Program in the Nation' by the International Society of Hotel Association Executives. We are adding new topics and speakers this year to add even more value to this experience.
THLA's Short Course is a unique training and motivational opportunity for hospitality professionals to assist them with career advancement. It's a small investment with a guaranteed profit. This will be a week-long, in-depth orientation to the many aspects of the lodging industry. Each discipline is covered in a 90-minute session, exposing employees to the full spectrum of hotel management. Front office personnel will learn about marketing plans; food and beverage staff will learn about housekeeping; accounting staff will learn about alcoholic beverage service, et cetera!
The programming of the Advanced Short Course is designed as the next step after Short Course for hoteliers advancing in their career. The 11th Annual Advanced Short Course will take place January 9th through 10th at the Hilton College of Hotel & Restaurant Management. You will note that Advanced Short Course will now take place on the Monday and Tuesday of Short Course, versus the Thursday and Friday as we have offered in the years past. The incomparable quality of the speakers has been retained for the Advanced Short Course and the industry's top presenters are prepared to take the students to the next level.

We hope that you will invite and encourage your employees to attend Short Course and Advanced Short Course.
